Doug Rutledge, KL&A, Inc.

Doug Rutledge is a founder and principal of KL&A, Inc., a regional structural engineering and steel construction firm with four offices in Colorado and Wyoming. His firm is responsible for numerous noteworthy projects in Northern Colorado, including the Budweiser Events Center, the Loveland Police and Courts Building, High Plains School, the new biology and chemistry buildings at CSU and the Foundry mixed-use development. The Loveland KL&A office employs 20 employees who receive more than $2.5M in salaries and benefits annually, and generates approximately $12M in gross annual revenue. Doug and his wife Sheila are long-time residents of Loveland and raised their two adult sons in the community. Doug’s professional interest is building collaborative teams of designers and builders with a common goal of delivering greater value, improved efficiency and more reliable quality to constructed projects. Loveland Community Contributions: A life-long public servant, Doug has been and continues to be actively involved in a number of community organizations and projects, including the Loveland Rotary Club, Loveland’s first Human Relations Commission, United Way’s Board of Directors, Loveland Downtown Development Authority, Loveland Downtown Partnership, Pulliam Community Building Capital Campaign, the Warehouse Business Accelerator, Loveland Strategic Partnership, the Loveland Broadband Task Force, and the City of Loveland Economic Strategic Plan Task Force, among others.
